On the agenda: the Harry Potter Studio Tour, the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, a picnic in St James's Park, hunting for squirrels in Hyde Park, a 10km country walk, and watching World Cup football in a proper English pub! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽

Stop 3: Rome! Rome holds a special place in our hearts — the last time we were here we had just become a family of two on our honeymoon! This time we're walking the ancient Appian Way in the footsteps of Roman legionaries, imagining a PG version of gladiator battles at the Colosseum, wandering the Forum ruins, and picnicking in the beautiful Villa Borghese gardens. Our upcoming trip will take us to Montfrin, where we plan to dive straight into the region’s rich history and culture. We will be taking day trips to explore the Roman landmarks of Nîmes and walk the historic streets of Avignon. A major highlight will be visiting the majestic Pont du Gard aqueduct. Between excursions, we are going to enjoy the peaceful village vibe, taste organic olive oils at Château de Montfrin, and soak up the southern sun.

Carry-le-Rouet

In Carry-le-Rouet we plan to dive straight into the ultimate Mediterranean slow-living experience. We will be spending our days relaxing on the sunlit shores of Plage du Rouet and swimming in the clear turquoise waters of Cap Rousset beach. A major highlight will be lingering over long lunches at the port, savoring freshly caught local seafood. Between seaside strolls, we are going to enjoy the peaceful pine-scented coastal vibe and soak up the southern sun.

Carcassonne

The Cité de Carcassonne, a medieval fortress settlement with a history that exceeds two and a half thousand years. Picturesque fortifications (over 3 km of walls with 52 towers, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was partly shot here) were reconstructed by Viollet-le-Duc in the 19th century but, as with most monuments reconstructed in those times, authenticity was not the main objective.
